How does it work?
It works in exactly the same way as residential detox centre in Liverpool. You take your medication 4x a day, and you get full support during, and after your detox. It is the same prescribed medication you get in our rehab centres, and the detox takes the same amount of time. The stages of an alcohol home detox are:
- You do a medical assessment with our detox nurse over the phone. All our nurses are male nurses.
- Video consultation with client and whoever is living with the client during their home detox period
- We will dispatch your medication to your local chemist to be collected
- A minimum of 4x phone calls a day. These are done on medication times, so you know how much medication to have.
- We then reduce the medication over a period of 7 to 10 days depending on how bad the clients addiction is.
It really is that simple. Just a week or 10 days, and you will be clean from alcohol. Then you have a choice. You should feel well enough to carry on your life. Or we will offer you free support.
